"To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness". Robert Muller
Having lost his only son Tariq to a senseless gang-related murder, Azim N. Khamisa is a rare individual who not only speaks of powerful and life-changing concepts, but also walks his talk. Before audiences of the young and adult, the public and the corporate, Azim delves deeply into hearts and souls, inspiring hope, courage and personal growth, along with providing steps to join him on the journey of forgiveness, peace and purpose.
We met Azim at the IONS Conference in Tucson in June 2009 and were immediately captivated by his warmth and genuine presence. He has truly changed his life through his own forgiveness and in doing so has changed the decisions of young people across America who deal with the everyday threat of gang violence and being pressed into gang initiations.
Through workshops, keynote speeches and consulting, Azim Khamisa - who started the Tariq Khamisa Foundation in honor of his son - carries the message that peace can be restored, no matter what has gone before. His simple 3-step process untangles the mystery behind forgiveness and sets people free to enjoy a life full of richness and meaning. His empowering CDs, DVDs and award-winning book From Murder to Forgiveness can be found in the STORE. His next big impact came February 24, 2009 with the publishing of his latest book The Secrets of the Bulletproof Spirit: How to Bounce Back from Life's Hardest Hits, coauthored with Jillian Quinn.
