James Barrett, a student of religious and mystical traditions, embarked on an odyssey in 1995 to create a real-time heart biofeedback device that would demonstrate principles and spectra signature of compassion, (harmonic coherent receptive inclusiveness). Success came with the help of several individuals, particularly a former Air Force human/machine interface control systems analyst at Wright Patterson Air force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
Barrett’s co-owned company developed, produced, and correlating research information coming from this novel first ever real-time heart biofeedback device. Resulting data from their innovative approach demonstrated inherent heart-based intelligence driving quantum mechanical processes, self organization, emotional intelligence, wellness - both psychological and physical - and to some extent even longevity. This intelligence appeared linked to the witnessing-aware-observer aspect of self.
In March of 2000, a life altering epiphany occurred when his twenty seven year old son suddenly died without a known cause on his sister’s birthday. During those weeks of grief Barrett was given a clear vision of a book and a clear personal experience of the witnessing facet of mind. His priority now changed from developing the cardiac device and its protocols, to research, writing and lecturing on the subject of Human Potentiality. The Silent Gospel - The Science of Divinity - The Creation of the Shroud of Turin, is a result of his effort.
James was born in 1951 in New Rochelle, New York and currently lives in Nevada City, California with his partner Patti Louise. During the research and development phase of the heart feedback device (1996-2000) Barrett gave several presentations on the product and subject to a broad diversity of groups, including schools, professions, scientist and businessmen. In 2000, NASA Research took the non patented innovative principles and software concepts that Barrett’s company developed, in the creation of Airport /Homeland Security devices.
