Sand Play sounds rather childish until you realise what is actually happening on the soul level and how it can unlock lifelong problems. Paula Petrovic has taken on this therapy with gusto and has written her own book on the subject, called Sand Play for the Soul, (available below in our links).
In this interview, Paula explains how Sand Play can affect anyone from any walk of life and reminiscent of our youthful play on the beach, takes you back to a time where the soul was easily and creatively expressed through sand. It has been shown that children who have been severly traumatised by war or domestic violence, have recovered more quickly through sand play, allowing internal dialogue and emotional wounds to be safely expressed through the figures and situations in the sand tray.
Believe it or not, this is fun and even my husband Scott found it suprisingly revealing when it came to his present and future life! In conclusion, you are never too old to play and in fact it is this very activity that keeps us young at heart, free from emotional baggage and more present on a daily basis than almost any other activity.
Try a session - you will be pleased and suprised by how inspiring it is. You can contact Paula directly through her website at www.sandworks.net or respond to her invitation below.
The Invitation:
We invite you to participate in a Sand Play for the Soul Life Awakening Event in beautiful Sedona.
On this journey there are no limits… only creation, discovery and access to a resource of infinite intelligence and wisdom. By simply selecting and placing some items in a tray filled with sand, creating a scene, and participating in Sand Play facilitation, you open doors to information so empowering and revealing that no life obstacle or challenge is insurmountable. SandWorks®: Powerful Tools for Creative Solutions shows you how, through your creations in the sand tray.
