This British band (not to be confused with The Jetsuns from Austin, TX) featuring singer/songwriter and guitarist Joanne Louise, has launched their debut album "Here and Now". At the heart of the music of The Jetsuns is the voice of Joanne Louise and her emotive guitar based songs, embellished by the velvet tones of Lewis Fielding on bass and eclectic guitar work on selected tracks.
Keith Ames from the Musicians Union Magazine published on 11th March 2008 wrote, "Fronted by delightful vocalist/guitarist Joanne Louise, with bassist/guitarist Lewis Fielding acting as her foil, The Jetsuns present dreamy originals with a light and spacious touch that captivate the listener and take any unsuspecting passerby on an enjoyable and charming journey. Liverpool-born Joanne's vocals have a joyful, folk-tinged edge that dances above the melodic changes of Ask Me, which also boasts the impressive flute of Sarah Wackett. The sweet harmonics of Make My Day follow reflect the optimistic theme of its lyric; "The place in chaos, the world is in a rut ... but then you smile, I see the sun is shining. "An oasis of calm and healing. Lovely."

Best described as New Folk/Blues this music takes you on a journey, if you need some 'soul food' to transport you to another plane or 'a pick me up' that allows you to hover with your feet still firmly on the ground... this is for you. Conscious songs, clever arrangements with soaring harmonies and heartfelt vibes are abound in this work. From the cool sound of The Bell to the groovy Last Train to Paradise and then emotional Mighty House you might feel you have been on a rollercoaster ride of beautiful, colourful and sassy imagery. The title track of 'the Here & Now' features the BBC award winning jazz trumpeter Byron Wallen and three unconditional love songs Ask Me, On a Level and Oversee I feature the talented flautist Sarah Wackett. The album also showcases the work of jazz drummer Kit Jolliffe, trumpeter Joe Auckland (Madness, Transcargo) and guitarist singer/songwriter Richard Batty.

After a weekend listening to this wonderful album, reminiscent of a young Joni Mitchell at times, I cannot get it out of my head!
