Appeal for New York Marathon
Long time friend Ray Martin lives in Chiang Mai and has decided to train for the New York Marathon for the very first time at the age of 49. Ray has not run distances before and is busy getting in shape to run the 26 miles for three chosen charities, one of which is Lek Chailert's Elephant Nature Park. Ray will donate a proportion of all donations for his marathon to Lek and the elephants.
Ray left the corporate world 3 and a half years ago to travel the world, choosing to experiment with life and to live nomadically for a while so he can experience as many different cultures as possible. Ray has also challenged himself to take on activities that benefit others including a charity ride across India by motorcycle.
